The Residency Selection Committee looks for:

• U.S.M.L.E. Minimum Score Requirements: An average of 78 or above preferred for both Step 1 and Step 2 Clinical Knowledge and a passing score on Step 2 Clinical Skills or CSA. The committee does not consider applications with 4 or more attempts on each exam. Step 1 required to be eligible for interview. Must pass both Steps 1 and 2 CK & CS before beginning residency program on July 1 or passing scores on COMLEX.
• Graduation from medical school within the past 5 years is preferred , but not required.
• U.S. clinical experience is preferred
• 3 Letters of Recommendation are required
• CV must be current with no unexplained time gaps
• We accept Foreign Medical Graduates
• Foreign Medical Graduates must provide a valid ECFMG Certificate before beginning residency program at the University of Connecticut Health Center
• The University of Connecticut Health Center sponsors J-1 Visas only
