Jonathan M. Covault, MD, PhD

Dr. Covault is an attending physician supervising a multidisciplinary treatment team involved in the care of general adult psychiatry patients enrolled in the Partial Hospital Program. He also oversees medication management for outpatients enrolled in the Social and Independent Living Skills (SILS) group. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Covault conducts an active research program studying genetic correlates of alcohol use disorders and the role of neuroactive steroids in the effects of alcohol. Dr. Covault is also the Scientific Director of the University of Connecticut Health Center General Clinical Research Center Core Laboratory.
