Interactive effects of ART and alcohol among patients living with HIV/AIDS

Description:
Attention: HIV-seropositive patients. Volunteers needed for research study examining the effects of alcohol and antiretroviral therapy on your alertness, motor skills/coordination, and driving skills within a simulator. One full day session (payment to you = $80) during which you will drink a regular alcoholic beverage. The study will not directly benefit you individually, or your treatment. It is designed to provide basic information about the effects of HIV on the nervous system.

21-55 year old, healthy men or women may apply. Call Chris Sampson at 679-4938 for more information and screening. Research will be conducted at the UConn Health Center in Farmington. Transportation will be provided.
